COWBOY DRAG RACE
What is a “Cowboy Drag Race” you ask? It's a “High Flyin’, Side by Side Racin’ Action” sure to entertain! 8 of the best Extreme Cowboy competitors in the Midwest will compete in drag race competition with obstacles and exciting twists and turns.
Each competitor receives two runs with the top 4 ‘drag racers’ (with the best combined scores) advancing to the finals. Remember these competitors must perform and tackle each of the obstacles correctly or their time will be docked.
In addition to these 8 competitors will be 4 local celebrities ready to compete and try their hand at some “Cowboy Drag Racing”
To give our drag racing horses and riders a little break, Guy McLean – Champion of Road to the Horse International 2012, will intervene with an equestrian demonstration sure to dazzle.

RANCH RODEO
The 4rd Annual EquiFest Ranch Rodeo will feature the top ranch rodeo teams in the US - including numerous former WRCA World Champions. These cowboys will be competing in real world ranching events including wild cow milking, team sorting, trailer loading and single mugging. This cowboy action promises to be non stop so don't miss a fantastic opportunity to see real cowboys in action and doing what they do best. The prize money ensures that these teams put on a high energy rodeo to entertain the entire family! Come one - come all!

Cowboy Mounted Shooting
EquiFest 2013 is proud to present the nation's fastest growing equestrian sport again this year - Cowboy Mounted Shooting! Mounted contestants compete in this fast action, timed event using two .45 caliber single action revolvers each loaded with five rounds of specially prepared blank ammunition.
There are no judges. Riders are competing against the clock! It takes time and training to participate in this sport. Almost every shooter started at a trot or even walking part of the course! Come see them in action February 8 - 10, 2013.
Breed Showcase & Stallion Review
The purpose of the Breed Showcase & Stallion Review is to showcase the many breeds, stallions & disciplines to both horse owners and equine enthusiasts alike. These equine representatives will be stalled in the stall barn where attendees can visit and ask questions. Participants will be promoting their stallion, breeds and disciplines in short exhibitions, daily. All horses attending must participate in a daily demonstration or showcase. Battle of the Breeds
Join a multitude of horse and rider teams as they vie for the title of Champion of Kansas Equifest Battle of the Breeds.
All breeds are invited to compete. One horse/one rider work as a team exhibiting in a variety of competitions with the team’s highest five scores to count toward the Championship. Limited to 18 teams, no more than 3 of any one breed. Battle of the Breeds entry form and rules.
Driving Derby
EquiFest 2013 is excited to announce its first Driving Derby & Competition. More information on rules and regulations to come - however the Driving Derby will closely follow The Carriage and Driving Society's mission and its driving-oriented sport.
